Pendleton) and the Consistory have enjoyed Barger’s recent letters and are very interested in his work. Pendleton wishes to thank Barger’s daughter, Miss Mary, for her report of responses to Barger’s Rotterdam lectures; Pendleton considers it remarkable that a lecture like that could be given in a Scottish Church of the Covenanters.
